Humble beginnings - Community support - A passionate team
The Bakehouse was started in 2013 by an initial group of people that were passionate about bringing real, nutritious bread to the local community. After much hard work and commitment, in 2016 The Forest Bakehouse was named Best Producer in the Taste of Gloucestershire Award and today is a busy, thriving business. In 2019 we won Best Independent Retailer in the Forest of Dean Business Awards and were finalists as Cafe of the Year in the So Glos Awards and Best Customers Service in the Cotswold Food Awards. Our team and cafe keep expanding to serve our increasing number of loyal customers and we're incredibly proud to be an important community hub.
