We are a retired couple in our mid-70s and have lived in Newent for the past 9 years where we have established an organic fruit and vegetable garden. Gardening and cooking is our shared hobby as well as painting and beekeeping.

Because we are only small-scale producers, we have limited amounts of each product for sale, and these change throughout the year as crops come into season, so please check weekly to see what is available.

We fully support the efforts of local producers and hard-working farmers to bring you the best of local produce, and the setting up of local support hubs.

All our products are made in a domestic kitchen, so it is possible that allergens like nuts or flour might be present in trace quantities.

We grow several varieties of Apples, Pears, Plums, Sweet Cherries, Morello Cherries, Mulberries, Quince, Medlar, Tayberries, Gooseberries, Blackcurrants, Redcurrants, Whitecurrants, Blueberries, Rhubarb, Autumn Raspberries, Thornless Blackberries, and Figs. Fruit in excess of our requirements we use to produce a range of preserves. Similarly we can call upon some of our vegetables such as Onions, Garlic, Shallots, Cucumber, Cauliflower, Carrots, Tomatoes, Cabbage, Runner Beans, French Beans, Beetroot, and Chilli Peppers to use in various Pickles and Chutneys.

New: Fig Jam - Made from figs grown in the garden, combined with sugar and lemon juice.

New: Bramble Jelly - Made from blackberries, sugar and lemon juice.

Christmas Chilli Jam - This is made from a blend of 4 of our organically home-grown Chillis, Roasted Red Pepper, Apple Juice, Sugar, White Wine Vinegar & Garlic.
Spiced Neckargold Bean Pickle - made from our organically grown Neckargold climbing beans, onions, malt vinegar, soft brown sugar, Demerara sugar, cornflour ,turmeric and mustard powder. Good with salads, charcuterie and cheese.

Runner Bean Pickle - Made from our organically grown Runner Beans, onions, malt vinegar, soft brown sugar, Demerara sugar, cornflour ,turmeric and mustard powder. Good eaten with salads, charcuterie and cheese.

Tangy Quince & Medlar Jelly-made from our organically grown ‘Vranja' Quince, ‘Nottingham’ Medlar, Sugar and Lemon Juice. Goodwith cheese.Try adding a spoonful to your venison casserole or into your gravy for the Sunday roast - delicious!

Plum Jam - made from Plums, Sugar and Lemon Juice.

Green Tomato Chutney - Made from our home-grown organic tomatoes, onions, apple, raisins, garlic, brown sugar, vinegar, salt, ginger, cayenne pepper, pickling spices. Allergen advice: contains mustard seed

New: Blackberry and Apple Jam - made from our organically grown thornless Blackberries, Cooking Apples, Sugar and Lemon Juice.

New: Autumn Fruit Jelly - Made from our organically grown thornless Blackberries, Crab Apple Juice, foraged Elderberries and Sugar.

Greengage Jam - made from Greengages, Sugar and Lemon Juice.
Damson Jam - made from Damsons and Sugar.

Apple and Mulberry Jelly - made from our organically grown Mulberries, Apple Juice and Sugar.

Autumn Fruit Chutney - made from our organically grown Apples, Quince, Onions, Courgette, Garlic and Chilli PLUS Cranberries, Raisins, Sugar, Red Wine Vinegar, Spices, Salt and Mustard Seed (ALLERGEN).

Elderflower Cordial - made from locally collected Elderflowers, with Sugar, Water, Lemons and Citric Acid added. The product should be refrigerated and diluted to taste with still or sparkling water. It is also very good added to a Gin and Tonic in place of lemon.

Whole Strawberry Conserve - made from our organically grown Strawberries, with Sugar, Apple Juice and Lemon Juice (for Pectin) added

Rhubarb and Ginger Jam - made from our organically grown Rhubarb, with Apple, Sugar, Lemon Juice and Stem Ginger. The Apple and Lemon Juice are for Pectin to set the jam because Rhubarb has none. Only limited quantities will be available over the coming weeks because currently we only have 1 rhubarb plant and we like Rhubarb Pies and Crumbles!

Membrillo, Spanish-inspired Quince paste

A traditional accompaniment to Charcuterie and hard cheese, made from our home-grown Vranja Quince, sugar and lemon juice. Provided in tamper-evident clear recyclable containers. Quince, sugar, lemon juice.

Summer Berry Jam

A delicious medley of our organically grown summer and autumn fruits. Contains Strawberries, Raspberries, Blueberries, Blackcurrants, Gooseberries, Sweet Cherries, Blackberries, Damsons, Sugar and Lemon Juice.

Mulberry and Redcurrant Jelly

Made from the fruit of our weeping Mulberry tree and our organically grown redcurrants. Mulberries, sugar, redcurrants, lemon juice.

Crab Apple Jelly

A delicately flavoured jelly, good with charcuterie and cheese. Made from Butterball crab apples. Crab apples, sugar. lemon juice.

Quince Jam & Quince Jelly

Made from fruit from our organically grown Vranja quince tree. Fragrant yellow fruit ripening in late autumn which when cooked turns pink. Quince, sugar, lemon juice.

Tangy Medlar Jelly

Made from home-grown ‘Nottingham’ Medlars, Lemons and sugar. Medlars, sugar, lemons.

Raspberry Jam

Made from our organically grown Autumn Raspberries. Raspberries, sugar, lemon juice. (NB: latest batch made Dec 2021 using bought raspberries as ours have all been used).

Plum Jam

Made from a mixture of our organically grown Guinevere plums & President plums given by a friend because our tree has only just started producing fruit. Plums, sugar, lemon juice.

Piccalilli

Ingredients: Cauliflower, Cucumber, organic ‘Cobra’ climbing French Beans, ‘Sturon’ Onions, & ‘Verde di Milano’ Courgette, Cider Vinegar, Sugar, Garlic, Cornflour, Spices (new batch made Dec 2021 using bought cauliflower, courgettes, cucumbers and onions, because ours are all used).

Cucumber Pickle

Made from our organically grown Marketmore and Socrates Cucumbers and Sturon Onions, with added vinegar, sugar, and spices. Cucumber, onion, sugar, white wine vinegar, spices. (NB: new batch made Dec 2021 from bought cucumbers and onions, as ours are all used).

Diced Beetroot Pickled in Spiced Red Wine Vinegar

A mixture of mainly Bartholdy beetroot with some Burpess Golden and some Chioggia organically grown, roasted in foil, boiled, diced and pickled in a spiced red wine vinegar with a touch of sea salt. Ingredients as above plus sugar and spices.

Shredded Red Cabbage

Pickled in spiced Wine Vinegar. Ingredients: Shredded organic Red cabbage, Red Wine Vinegar, White Wine Vinegar, Sugar, Sea Salt, Spices
