99PINES is a small-scale community Perry outfit based in Kent’s Green, at the foot of May Hill.

We love seeking out rare perry pear varieties on and around May Hill to produce craft, small-batch perrys made with 100% pear juice.  All our fruit is handpicked by volunteers (that we affectionally name “piners”).

100% of our profits go to local charities nominated by our supporters.  This year we are supporting St Richard’s Hospice and Teens in Crisis mental health charity.

We established ourselves in 2022, with our Moorcroft receiving 2nd place at the 2023 Herefordshire Cider Museum International Competition.  We’re excited to be chosen to sell our produce through May Hill Hub, the heart of English perry country!

Enjoy chilled.  Works amazingly with cheese .. treat yourself!

Gluten free & suitable for vegans.

Moorcroft – A single variety perry made mostly from a single tree on the hill (thanks Sarah & Simon!).  It’s a light, smooth drink with a bottle conditioned sparkle.  Placed 2nd in the 2023 Herefordshire Cider Museum International competition.  Also known as the Malvern Pear or Stinking Bishop (it’s what the cheese is dipped in) but nothing whiffy about this perry! 6.5% alcohol by volume. 500ml.

Taynton Blush – Something a bit special! One of the finest English Perrys, the Taynton Squash has been blended with the more common Blakeney Red to produce this cracker!  We’re super proud of this local partnership.  We think it’s a winner and CAMRA have asked us to preview it at the 2023 Great British Beer Festival in London.  6% alcohol by volume. 500ml.

Tawneys Blend – Our first orchard blend and what a corker!  Made entirely from fruit sourced from a 17th century perry orchard near Dymock.   The original trees are still producing stunning pears 350 years later, which we think we’ve done justice with to produce this sweet perry with soft tannins and a long finish. 6% alcohol by volume. 500ml.
